a-Read the passage about Antartica and answer the questions.

Antartica is one of the seven continents. There are high mountains with ice.
It is a cold and lonely place. The South Pole is 1000 kilometres from the coast.
Winds of 150 kilometres an hour blow over it. On the coast there are big walls
of ice. Iceberg break off into the sea. Penguins live near the water.
They catch fish to eat. No land animals live here.
Flowers and trees do not grow here.
People go to Antartica in ships and in aeroplanes. 
They live in warm buildings. They study the weather and the penguins. 
In the spring men leave their camp and travel across the snow in tractors.
They study the rocks under the snow and make maps of new places.
